Akoma Groupe warrants to the original consumer purchaser that Akoma Groupe cabinets, door hinges, and drawer glides will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for twelve months. Proof of purchase is required. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to product used for residential purposes. Representatives of Akoma Groupe do not have the authority to change or enlarge this warranty.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage or defects caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, lack of necessary maintenance, or acts of God. It also does not cover alteration, modification, improper installation, improper handling or storage, environmental conditions, or any labour expenses.

Akoma Groupe may, at its option, repair the product or replace it with a functionally equivalent Akoma Groupe product covered by this warranty. Some replacement parts are subject to availability and may differ from the original parts. Return of the defective product may be required before a replacement is issued. Repair or replacement parts are at the expense of Akoma Groupe; the customer is responsible for all other expenses, including removal, re-installation, and labour.

Variation in colour and grain is part of the natural beauty of wood and is not an imperfection. Light, moisture, cleaners, smoke, and similar conditions may darken or mellow a cabinet over time. This warranty does not cover natural aging, darkening or mellowing of wood colour, inherent growth characteristics of wood, or variation in wood.

Some cabinet lines use a hand-applied glaze over stain or paint. Random drips, runs, and differences in colour from door to door or cabinet to cabinet are normal for a hand-applied finish and are not defects. Wood expands and contracts with climate. Painted surfaces may show fractures in the paint at joints; this is normal and is not a defect.

This warranty is valid only in Canada and is not transferable. All implied warranties are limited in duration to the shorter of the period provided by law or the period of this warranty. To the extent permitted by law, this warranty excludes special, incidental, or consequential damages. Some provinces do not allow those exclusions or limitations, so they may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; other rights may vary by province. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or other applicable Canadian consumer law.
